This is a true multi-lingual chat application. You can chat in one of the languages supported while the other person you chat can use a different language. The chat server translates your messages on-the-fly and delivers it to the other person. This is an experimental software developed for educational and testing purposes only. You can test it at your own risk.
The server uses the Altavista Babelfish online translation engine for on-the-fly translations. It will stop working the moment Altavista stops supporting the web service or the format of its web site!
